Impressive Tandem Lift with two SENNEBOGEN 6180 HMCs

Kristiansund in Norway - the port operator VESTBASE is known for providing the optimal solution for all logistic tasks. This applies for mass turnover as well as for individual and complex individual orders.

VESTBASE just recently received such a special order. An over-sized cable drum with a weight of approximately 74 tons had to be loaded. The job was handled safely, with precision and quickly using two SENNEBOGEN 6180 mobile harbour cranes with a tandem lift.

The mobile harbour cranes from SENNEBOGEN are impressive in practice with an extremely high lifting capacity and a wide design. They are universal, durable and hold their value.

The heavy load is required on the Kristin Field production platform. This oil and natural gas reservoir is around 5,000 m under the ocean floor, north-west of Trondheim on the open ocean. Kristin Field was named after the famous main character of the novel by Sigrid Undset.

The job for this challenging tandem lift was given to VESTBASE by the CECON company, which is employed by the Norwegian national firm Statoil. VESTBASE, a subsidiary of the NorSeaGroup, is so impressed by the quality and the performance of the machines and the SENNEBOGEN dealer I.M.B Maskiner, that only SENNEBOGEN machines are used in Kristiansund for loading and unloading. The service-friendly and low-maintenance concepts make SENNEBOGEN mobile harbor cranes an effective solution for general material-, heavy-duty- and bulk goods-handling.
