SENNEBOGEN 305 C+ efficiently used in Mauritius
Mauritius - the island state in the South West Indian Ocean is synonymous with dream holidays, blue sea and perfect beaches. However, Mauritius is also known for its cane sugar, which grows on almost 90 percent of the cultivated land. It comprises 25 percent of the income from exports, making it one of the main sources of income in Mauritius.
Two 305 C+ machines from the latest range - sold by Robert Aumüller, Area sales manager SENNEBOGEN - were recently delivered to Mechanical Transport Co. LTD (MTL) and Truck & Trailer Equipment in Mauritius. Marcel Lagesse, Managing Director of MTL and Maurice Bonieux, Managing Director of Truck & Trailer Equipment, were delighted with the intensive training given for the superior 305 C+ Multihandler.
The machines work in the hardest conditions on transshipment hubs for cane sugar. Fitted with a 2.7-meter wide polder fork with hydraulic gripper, the 305 C+ machines load up to 1000 tonnes of cane sugar per day quickly and safely onto trucks. The drivers at the transshipment hubs are enthusiastic about the powerful and maneuverable machines. The three different steering modes make the 305 C+ easy to maneuver even in the most confined spaces. The extremely economical 91 kW power TIER III engine means that the driver has sufficient power and excellent fuel reserves in any situation. The new Variospeed drive unit has proven to be a major highlight, always providing the driver with the optimum combination of power and speed.
The drivers have been particularly happy with the elevating cabs. Especially when loading trucks, the excellent all-round view up to a height of 4 meters is a big plus in terms of safety and efficiency. The comfortable seat has elastic support enabling the driver to operate the machine intuitively and with a great deal of control.
Marcel Lagesse and Maurice Bonieux decided to use the two 305 C+ machines because they provide the highest level of cost-effectiveness, maximum versatility and robust design all in one.
