The new SENNEBOGEN 818 is a sorting and loading machine which is specially tailored to the recycling sector. With decades of experience and competence in material handling, the SENNEBOGEN 818, which has an operating weight of 19.5 t, is setting new standards in its class. As with all SENNEBOGEN machines, customer benefit in practical use was in the foreground when developing the 818.

Maximum operating flexibility is achieved by means of the extremely compact and robust design. With a rear end radius of only 2.3 m and a total width of 2.5 m, the 818 is an enormously versatile machine that is easy and light to manoeuvre and transport and impresses with its high performance potential, even in very small spaces. With a boom length of 9.2 m and extremely easy-to-move equipment in combination with powerful and precise movements, the 818 orange peel grab or sorting grab with reverse mechanism offers a wide field of application for effective sorting and loading work. With its impressive load capacity, the SENNEBOGEN 818 is perfectly equipped for large-scale material handling tasks in recycling.

Design solutions that make sense reinforce the consistent focus on practical requirements. For instance, two modules can be screwed onto the middle bridge each with two outriggers or two outriggers and a dozerblade. In this way, the 818 can be customised flexibly and quickly to specific requirements. The large size of the outriggers guarantees maximum stability.

Another special feature of the new SENNEBOGEN 818 are the hydraulic cylinders. The boom and stick are both controlled by a single hydraulic cylinder. This technology provides convincing advantages: • Particularly good mechanical protection through positioning underneath the boom/jib • Fewer parts (cylinder, valve, hoses, threaded unions) means less maintenance and fewer spare parts required • Always the best load transmission in the equipment Additionally, the boom cylinder is reverse-assembled, so that no dirt can be deposited at the front side of the cylinder. The fully pulled down boom side panels protect the cylinder and provide the boom with maximum stability. This cylinder arrangement also results in an ideal hose routing with technology integrated in the steel design in the best possible manner. Moreover, the undercarriage has a special undercarriage protection to prevent the rotating parts from getting entangled with mattresses, straps, foil and other waste.

Another innovation is the encapsulated ventilation space in the upper carriage which directs nearly all of the air to the outside and not through the engine compartment with its powerful 97 kW diesel engine. The inclined position of the extremely large cooler means that air discharge to the side is improved and, thanks to the dirt-resistant large cooling mesh size, the high cooling performance remains constant. The exemplary serviceability and easy access to all machine components and maintenance points are important factors with regard to availability and efficiency, just like the elimination of unnecessary electronics. The SENNEBOGEN 818 will also be optionally available with an electric motor. An increasingly important alternative, especially for interior use, with impressive advantages such as low emissions and extremely smooth running, the gentle load on the components is connected with longer life and the best possible availability due to the elimination of filling time.

With the new multicab comfort cabin, the driver is the focal point. The cabin, which can be elevated to 4.8 m visible height, offers a generous amount of space and an ergonomically designed working environment. All control elements are clearly arranged and within easy reach form the air-suspended comfort seat. The large window area offers an excellent all-round view and, combined with the second pane in the tilted front floor, the best view of the operating area. Optionally using joystick steering, there are no interfering elements to restrict the view. All functions can be controlled delicately and precisely via joysticks and guarantee fluid and even work. The standard air-conditioning system provides comfortable temperatures in all surroundings. The SENNEBOGEN 818 multicab is available with laminated safety glass for maximum security.
